Black man as President? Something to be proud of.

But... Joe Biden, Vice President???

It's going to be hilarious seeing how quickly he gets shunted quietly out of public view.

Definitely aware I am in a very small minority...

but... I fucking love Arbusto.
He is our generation's Atlas, thanklessly carrying a weight we ourselves are lucky not to bear.

Get ready for some white hair, Mr. Obama.
Best wishes.

From a Bush interview:

I believe this — the phrase “burdens of the office” is overstated. You know, it’s kind of like, why me? Oh, the burdens, you know. Why did the financial collapse have to happen on my watch? It’s just — it’s pathetic, isn’t it, self-pity. And I don’t believe that President-Elect Obama will be full of self-pity. He will find — you know, your — the people that don’t like you, the critics, they’re pretty predictable. Sometimes the biggest disappointments will come from your so-called friends. And there will be disappointments, I promise you. He’ll be disappointed.

point from his closing press conference

Bush did point out that he inherited a deficit,

1) is that true
2) how's it compare to the current one -

I don't believe any one president or congressional cohort is fully responsible for the state of the nation or the economy at a given moment, but it seems kind of lame for one president to imply that he had little to no effect on the situation after 8 years of office. That he couldn't improve it (or worsen it to some extent).

This is a perfect example

of why Republicans suck and can't win elections.
